Terms of Service

There is no charge for a quote. Terms of Service should be read and understood before a quote request is made.

My Promise to You:

I agree to deliver your aircraft in a timely and professional manner. Every effort will be made to ensure that the aircraft is delivered by the expected date and time as indicated in the original proposal. The aircraft is promised to be delivered in the original condition found upon initial pickup.
I will treat the aircraft as if it is my own plane and will give it the attention and care that is expected of a professional. To that end, no potentially hazardous or dangerous risks will be taken by the pilot. This includes flying extended periods and/or risking fatigue, risking danger to person or property by flying in dangerous weather or flying the aircraft in an un-airworthy condition.

Your Promise to Me:

You agree to pay the initial deposit as indicated in the original proposal prior to aircraft pick-up and delivery. You further agree to provide payment in full including any additional charges as required under Charges Incurred to the pilot immediately upon delivery of the aircraft. Delivery of the aircraft includes at the final destination and, in some cases involving a flight that has to be terminated early, upon delivery of the aircraft to the final point of stop. Payment is accepted by check, cashier's check, money-order, or cash. Credit cards are also accepted through this website. Accepted cards are Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. You may also pay by E-Check.

Process:

Once a quote request is received the following steps will occur:

  • You will be contacted with any questions related to your quote.

  • A quote will be created and submitted to you either by fax, mail or email in PDF format

  • You will look over the quote and contact the pilot with any questions or clarifications

  • An agreement will be sent via fax, mail or email that contains all the terms of the delivery. LOOK THIS OVER AS THIS IS THE BINDING AGREEMENT RELATED TO YOUR DELIVERY! If you agree to the terms, sign, date and return to the pilot via mail. A fax is acceptable provided the original is mailed as well.

  • Once the agreement is made the flight will be scheduled based on the terms agreed upon.

  • Payment of all deposits must be made prior to beginning the delivery.

  • Proof of insurance coverage for the aircraft and delivery pilot as well as any inspection and airworthiness documents must be provided to the pilot prior to beginning the delivery of the aircraft.

  • The pilot will proceed to the pick-up point and evaluate the plane for proof of airworthiness and safety.

  • Your airplane will be delivered as per the terms in the agreement and these service terms.

  • Upon delivery any receipts and additional charges will be gone over and final payment is immediately due.

Charges Incurred:

Charges are on a per-day basis plus pilot expenses. These charges are listed here.

Initial Deposit Fees apply to all deliveries. The initial deposit will be based on the quote for the delivery and may be between 15% and 40% of the delivery fee plus any known special fee requirements arranged between the buyer and pilot prior to delivery. In addition to the initial deposit, a non-refundable $75.00 service fee will apply to deliveries that are agreed upon, contracted and scheduled. This fee covers the pilot's time in research and planning for the flight and only applies once a signed agreement is received and the flight is scheduled. Cancelation of this fee is at the sole discretion of the pilot taking into account special circumstances.
Base Fee for ferry service is a minimum of $200.00 US. This charge will change based on the type of aircraft flown and, in some cases, the distance and/or destination flown. The exact price will be provided in the initial quote.
Fuel and oil Fees will be reimbursed to the pilot upon delivery of the aircraft. This information will be provided upon delivery and will be included in the final bill. Every effort will be made to find the most economical solution to fuel needs possible taking safety and feasibility into account.
Hotel expenses and required ground transportation will be reimbursed to the pilot for flights that necessitate overnight lodging. Every effort will be made to find the most economical solution to lodging and transportation. All flights are planned as eight-hour days. Any flight that requires longer time will necessitate an overnight stay. These charges will be included in the final bill.
All airport landing fees will be reimbursed to the pilot upon delivery of the aircraft and will be included in the final bill.
Any delays outside of the control of the pilot during the ferry flight will be billed at the daily rate as determined in the original proposal. In the event of extended delays it may become necessary to make further arrangements between the pilot and the customer in order to get the pilot back to his home base. The ferry may then be resumed at a later date as required, however payment for the time involved up to the point of delay may become immediately due.
Meals will be reimbursed to the pilot upon delivery of the aircraft.
Additional supplies required during the ferry service through no fault of the pilot will be reimbursed to the pilot upon delivery of the aircraft and will be included in the final bill.
Any maintenance determined by the pilot to be necessary prior to the flight must be complied with prior to the flight taking place. All charges incurred will be the responsibility of the customer.*
Any required charts will be reimbursed to the pilot upon delivery of the aircraft and included in the final bill.
Any maintenance determined by the pilot to be necessary during the flight must be complied with and charges will be the responsibility of the customer.

*If, upon arrival to begin the flight, it is determined that the aircraft is in need of maintenance or is otherwise in an un-airworthy condition, a determination will be made as to whether or not the flight may be undertaken as scheduled. If it is determined that the flight may be made after maintenance, a full day will be charged for the maintenance delay. If it is determined that the flight cannot be started, regular maintenance delay fees will apply (see UNFORESEEN DELAYS and AIRCRAFT AIRWORTHINESS below). If the delay prevents delivery by the originally scheduled time it may become necessary to reschedule delivery of the aircraft. All charges incurred to that point may become due.

Insurance Requirements:

Insurance is the responsibility of the customer. It must be assured that the pilot is added to the customer's insurance policy for the flight. This insurance must include liability and whole loss coverage. Contact your broker for details. PROOF OF INSURANCE IS REQUIRED PRIOR TO BEGINNING THE DELIVERY!

Flight Training:

Flight training is available to customers who wish to fly along and train in their new airplanes. Flight training will result in additional fees. These fees will include the additional meals and lodging required by the student. These fees will also include an hourly rate for instruction. This rate will be a minimum of $60.00 US per hour and will vary depending on aircraft type, distance of flight and, in some cases, level of flight experience of the student.
Flight training will not exceed eight hours per twenty-four hour period as per the standard ferry flight service policy and the Federal Aviation Administration regulations.

Aircraft Airworthiness:

It is the responsibility of the owner/customer to ensure that the aircraft to be delivered is in an airworthy condition prior to the flight. This includes any modifications made to the aircraft specifically for the flight and all required inspections such as annual, 100 hour, altimeter/static, transponder, airworthiness directives, etc.
If it is determined by the pilot that the aircraft is not airworthy during the preflight inspection of the aircraft then the aircraft will be grounded until it is brought to an airworthy condition. Any work required to make the aircraft airworthy will be the responsibility of the customer. The pilot fees will be charged at the daily rate plus expenses for all required waiting time needed to bring the aircraft to an airworthy condition.
In cases where a temporary ferry permit is being sought for an aircraft that is otherwise not airworthy, it will be the responsibility of the customer to seek, obtain and provide to the pilot the ferry permit from the FAA authorizing the flight under the conditions of the permit.

Unforeseen Delays:

As indicated in the Charges Incurred section it may become necessary to halt a ferry operation due to circumstances beyond the control of the pilot. In these instances, such as weather or mechanical delays, the wait time may be billed out at the standard service rate. Any additional lodging and other daily expenses will be billed out. Extended delays which will result in expensive (for the customer) wait charges will result in further arrangements being required. In this case the flight may be terminated early and the aircraft left at a suitable airport. Other arrangements will have to be made for continuation of delivery at a later date or other delivery arrangements made. In any case, payment for the time up to the final stop may become immediately due and if the delivery is continued at a later date it will be done under the same arrangements made in the original proposal.
